A Norwegian-German success story

In the hard-fought Avinor tender, Travel Retail Norway and Gebr. Heinemann had the edge. The new contract begins on 1 January 2023 and runs for a term of five years.

Competition was fierce: more than 30 retailers were interested in the invitation to tender issued by the airport operator Avinor. On 23 April 2021, five international companies submitted their proposals. And on 21 June 2021, after two negotiation rounds, Avinor finally announced its decision:

Travel Retail Norway (TRN), the joint venture between Gebr. Heinemann and Norse Trade, will continue to be the retailer at Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger airports. Gebr. Heinemann, on the other hand, will continue to supply the six fjord shops Ålesund, Molde, Kristiansund, Bodø, Evenes and Tromsø and will move the Kristiansand location from retail to distribution.
